Be You Art Journal Page

Hello! Today I am sharing an art journal process video using Darkroom Door stencils and other fun supplies in a Dina Wakley Media journal! This journal is the one with the black cover and is one of my favourite journals to work in as it includes different types of substrates to work on including watercolour rag paper, Kraft card stock and hessian/burlap. (Update 2023: This journal has been discontinued, but you may still find it in stores. There is also a blue cover version that includes denim and white hessian with heavier weight watercolour paper which I enjoy using too!)

For this page I have used the watercolour paper. I have filmed the process so you can watch and create along with me!
Here’s a few close ups of the journal page:

This is the first page the journal. It has such a fabulous texture is a great surface to work on! I have used the Darkroom Door Small Butterflies and Small Wildflowers stencils as the main design feature. I’ve also added some collage for more layers and texture.
