Hi,

tl;dr – Set a static IP for PC. Enable UPnp and DMZ host on Router.

I have had the issue of strict NAT while playing many online games especially Warzone. All search results for the solution showed that JIO had Double NAT and would not be able to find a solution.

The solution that worked for me was:

  1. On JIO ROUTER Settings: Network>iPv6>Select IPv4 only mode>Save.

2. On PC -> Control Panel>Network and Internet>Network and Sharing Center>Connections: Ethernet or WIFI>Properties>Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties. You can get your IP Address, Subnet mask and Default Gateway from Command Prompt>ipconfig.

3. On Jio Router settings: Advanced> Network> UPnP Configuration> ON> Advertisement Period – 86400> Advertisement Time to Live> 255> Save

The Advertisement Period and Advertisement Time to Live can be less according to your needs.

4. On Jio Router settings: Advanced> Network> DMZ IPv6 Host> DMZ Host – ON> IPv4 Address – Same address given for Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties> Save

Done! Check your game again, NAT should be OPEN/Moderate.

***EDIT***

I had emailed JIO regarding port forwarding, NAT type as well as the high latency. They responded back asking for the port numbers to be opened as well as the trace route to the game server.

Ports: It is specific to each game and you can get them off of a google search for the game.

Traceroute: Use the application livetcpudpwatch to capture network traffic while playing the game and take note of the IP address that sends and receives most data.

Use CMD to find the traceroute to that server and screenshot it to them.

They had done something on their end and now both my PC and PS4 connected to the same router gets Open/moderate NAT every single time.

For Warzone, my latency is generally at 40-60ms.
