Audience Reviews for Divergent

  • Not bad for YA rehash.
  • Yes! A new movie based on some weird young adult novel. And honestly, this movie doesn’t really anything new to the genre. This movie is actually incredibly boring and uninteresting. I did never read these books so I don’t know how much is directly adapted, but I know that it’s incredibly sloppy written and really slow paced at some points in the movie. However, the performances in the movie are actually enjoyable almost all-over. Shailene Woodley is pretty good as Tris, while Kate Winslet kills it as the villain in the movie.
  • Didn’t even make it past the opening exposition. That level of stupidity is beyond me.
  • Was surprisingly entertained by this lab experiment mashing up The Hunger Games, Twilight, and other random young adult fiction. I hear they’re making a sequel? Might check it out despite not caring where the characters really go barring some nude scenes.patrick w Super Reviewer
