### Description

In this engaging activity students will practice finding general solutions to second and higher order linear homogeneous differential equations with constant coefficients. Students will work on examples of four types – four different cases of the roots of the characteristic equation:

• All roots of the characteristic equation are real and distinct ( 6 equations)
• All roots of the characteristic equation are real and multiple ( 5 equations)
• All roots of the characteristic equation are complex and distinct (6 equations)
• All roots of the characteristic equation are complex and multiple ( 4 equations)

The practice sheets have space provided for students to show their work.

The product is great for independent practice and it is appropriate for cooperative work as well.

Typed detailed answer keys/solutions are included.
