Your business’s physical security sets the foundation for a healthy workplace and a productive workforce. When people aren’t worried about their physical safety, they are more likely to engage with their work and do well.
Protecting people, spaces, and assets from internal and external threats is a core function of every business leader. The good news is it doesn’t have to be hard. Many security breaches are completely preventable with a few key actions and well-planned policies and practices. The following best practices will help you establish those and keep your business running safely and smoothly.
How Do I Physically Secure Our Business?
What Can I Do To Make A Conference Room User-Friendly?
Most will have to have some kind of screen and probably a camera for connecting people who aren’t physically in the same space. People are using their conference rooms for the familiar face-to-face meetings, but also for webinars, training, sales demos, and working remotely. When choosing the right technology partner for your conference rooms, whether it’s Zoom, Teams, Lifesize, Google Meets, or Polycom, think about how your conference room will be used. For example, if you’ll need a visual collaboration tool, the whiteboard capability in Microsoft Teams could make your short list. Beyond that, here a few things you can do to make everyone comfortable and confident when using your conference room.
Flexible work options for employees have been critical during the COVID19 pandemic and many businesses were unprepared for remote work. That works to an extent, but these apps expose personal information, such as social media statuses and personal phone numbers. In addition, the business transactions are often no longer traceable or recordable.

What is Backbone Cabling?
Backbone cabling is an important component in any structured cabling system for a building or campus. Like all parts of a structured cabling system, the minimum end goal is to serve the needs of the user for at least 3-10 years, so we need to be able to map out both current and future needs in order to build a compliant system.
Before jumping into components let’s first discuss how backbone cabling fits into a broader cabling solution, just so we have some context.
As the name suggests backbone cabling is like the backbone of your network connection, connecting the main ISP entrance point to the various enclosures, buildings, or subsystems that will make up the whole system.
